ASRock has added a new Intel Arc A380 graphics card to its stables. This might have passed without comment, and ASRock hasn’t published a press release for this product, but this is notable for being the firm’s first ever low-profile (LP) graphics card design. The Arc A380 is very much the junior member of the Arc... Read more...
Intel's journey into modern discrete GPU territory with its Arc graphics effort has been interesting, to say the least. It's also been a bit more staggered than most people hoped. Though to be fair, it's not easy designing a brand-new architecture from the ground up and then optimizing it for public consumption... Read more...
Intel’s first Arc Alchemist graphics card sold through a major US retailer looks set to drop on Monday. Major online PC and electronics dealer Newegg has listed the ASRock Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX 6GB OC today. This compact single fan ‘ITX’ card is listed by Newegg at $139.99, which falls in line with... Read more...
Early reviews of the Intel Arc graphics cards have not been bursting with praise. We only have reputable third-party reviews of the entry level Arc A380 thus far, but even with suitably lowered expectations, no one is recommending these Intel discrete GPUs for general use. A video published by Intel Graphics today... Read more...
Intel would obviously love it if your next PC paired one of its Core processors with an Arc-powered graphics card, like the Arc A750 or A770 (neither of which is actually available yet, but should be soon). That doesn't mean it's going to shun support for AMD's platforms with its GPUs, though. That would be ludicrous... Read more...
Oh no, Intel's discrete desktop graphics cards might not be great at mining, what in the world will we ever do!? Perhaps rejoice if you're a gamer, content creator, or anyone who has no interest whatsoever in cryptocurrency mining. At least for the time being, it appears as though Intel's GPU drivers for its Arc... Read more...
When we saw Intel's Arc Alchemist GPUs in the figurative flesh last week, there were a few oddities in the presentation. Some of them can be explained as confusing Chinese-to-English translation issues, but differences in numbers stick out rather readily, and there were a couple of those, too. Chief among them was... Intel Arc desktop graphics cards are real, and you can actually buy one—if you're in China, and have a need for entry-level discrete GPU. The specific model Intel is making available at this time is the Arc A380, which will probably be the fastest option in the "A300" series of Alchemist graphics cards. Since this... Read more...
You may have heard, Intel is releasing desktop graphics cards soon. Assuming you haven't just returned from living off the grid for a spell, you already know this. But when exactly are these cards finally going to manifest, and how much will they cost? If the latest rumors pan out, Intel's first Arc Alchemist graphics... Read more...
Given inflated prices and limited availability making it difficult for consumers to buy graphics cards, it's been a reasonable play for PC gamers to build machines with the intent to game on their integrated graphics solutions in the interim. Modern IGPs from Intel and especially AMD are quite capable, and can hold... Read more...
