IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad Z61p

Here we see the Z61p closed with the traditional IBM Thinkpad logo positioned in the lower right hand corner.  If this unit had the Titanium cover it would be silver and this would be the only external location to have it. Also note the two solid metal hinges; no plastic there.

These next set of photographs are meant to outline the thickness of the Thinkpad itself as well as the external I/O connectors.  In the left photograph below you see the front of the unit.  On the Left you have the IR port and wireless hard-switch to turn on/off all wireless devices including the Bluetooth transmitter.  On the right hand side of the front you see the built in multi-card reader which supports SD/MMC/MS/XD cards. On the back of the unit (right photo), you have few connectors short of the AC plug next to air intake on the right and 1 x USB 2.0 port on the left.

The left hand side of the unit (left photo below) is outfitted with the following connectors:  VGA out, Modem, Ethernet, Line in/microphone, Line out/SPDIF, IEEE 1394 Firewire port, Cardbus/PCMCIA slot (1 x Type 1 / Type II), and finally 1 x Express Card (/34 or /54) right above the Cardbus slot. DVI is not present on the laptop itself, however, can be added at a later time through one of the docking station options.  Note the copper heatsink on the lefthand side of the picture covering the CPU.  Exhaust from this port can get quite hot upwards of 28'C idle to 38-40'C in testing.  On the right side of the unit (right photo) you have an S-Video port, Ultabay Enhanced DVD Multi-burner, and two USB 2.0 ports.
