Verbatim's TUFF-CLIP USB Drive Won't Ever Get Lost

We're a little fuzzy on our high school science, but we're pretty sure somewhere along the line we heard that "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." Some Newton guy, we think? Anywho, just days after we saw a new USB flash drive from Buffalo that will inevitably get lost in your pants pockets, Verbatim has introduced a drive of its own that you'll have no excuse to ever misplace.

The aptly-named TUFF-CLIP is a super durable USB drive that was engineered to withstand some beatings and to never, ever get lost. Available now with capacities of 4GB in turquoise and 8GB in black, the drives offer up clip-and-go convenience, perfect for strapping on your notebook case or belt buckle. It also possesses an ultra-rugged ABS plastic enclosure with a convenient retractable slider that protects the USB connector. On the security front, the drives come pre-loaded with password security software for Windows systems that protects sensitive data in a user-defined private zone, while allowing a public zone for open access and sharing of non-sensitive content.

Verbatim’s new TUFF-CLIP USB Drives measure 2.90” x .45” x 0.90” and weigh less than 2 ounces, and they're fully compatible with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux-based systems. The suggested list prices are $29.99 for the 4GB drive and $49.99 for the 8GB drive, both of which should be sliding out to retail channels now.
