The Beatles: Rock Band to Have Unreleased Tracks

The Beatles: Rock Band video game, which is scheduled to release on Sept. 9, will include previously unreleased tracks, according to a statement by Dhani Harrison, son of the late George Harrison.

In an interview with Billboard, Dhani Harrison said that the game will include "stuff that has never been heard, never been released," although he said he could not reveal specifics.

He also added that it was he who sold the ideas to the various partners. This is in fact the first foray for The Beatles (as opposed to individual members) into the digital marketplace; Beatles music has never been available via iTunes or any other music etailer site.
"I took the project to Apple (Corps, multimedia corporation founded in January 1968 by The Beatles) and sort of convinced everybody to have a presentation. My job description is ... being enthusiastic. We've been working on it for the past two years. This is the first one that is going to be totally, historically accurate. It's been a real headache, but it's been the most enjoyable work I've done in my life."
