Sony VAIO VGN-A260, NVIDIA Editor's Day 2004, and more!

I have come to a realization today... I collect way too much computer related junk. All I was looking for was a CD-Rom drive, so I go into my closet to see what I have. I pull out a few boxes, and find 6 CD-Rom drives, 5 USB cables, 4 sound cards, 3 hard drives, 2 PSUs , and a partridge in a pair tree ;) There was of course much more, but there's also news to post...

Sony VAIO VGN-A260 Laptop Review @ Designtechnica

"We have to give Sony credit for designing a system that not only features a 15.4-inch widescreen display with Xbrite technology, but does it all in a chassis that is slimmer than the competition. We are on the fence about whether they should have gone with a desktop processor instead of the Centrino chipset and Pentium M CPU though."

Asus Extreme N6600GT single and SLI mode review @ AMDZone

"This article will focus mostly on the performance of SLI enabled setups versus single video card solutions. I use an X800 XT as a base to look at when thinking about price to performance. A single GeForce 6600 GT is about $200 making a pair $400. The retail price of the X800 XT I will be using is almost $700. Think about the price to performance ratios when looking at the benchmarks."

NVIDIA Editor's Day 2004 Coverage. @ X-Bit labs

"On December 7 NVIDIA arranged a technology seminar in San Jose called NVIDIA Editor's Day, where hardware editors and testers from multiple on-line and off-line publications could meet NVIDIA developers and engineers, talk about the latest technology and the upcoming solutions. Read more about this event in our coverage!"

Thermalright XP-90 Heatsink Review @ EXTREME Overclocking!

"Thermalright has been a leader in high performance heatsinks for AMD & Intel processors for quite some time now. Thermalright's constant innovation has led to bigger and better products to meet the demands of overclockers & PC enthusiasts. Today we are taking a look at the very popular XP-90 heatsink, which is a copper/aluminum design utilizing heatpipes and very large surface areas for maximum heat dissipation."
