Snag a Refurbished Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook for 600 Smackers
You know we're always looking out for you guys and gals, right? Good, because it's in that vein that we want to give you a heads up on a semi-killer deal for an Ultrabook. Daily Steals, a site we've ordered from before, is selling a refurbished Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook for a low $600. Ignoring the fact that this is a refurbished item (with 90-day warranty), this is one of the lowest prices we've seen for an Ultrabook. Let's start with the good.
We've already told you the price, but what about the specs? Well, it's a 14-inch Ultrabook with an LED-backlit display. It has an Intel Core i5 2467M processor clocked at 1.6GHz (dual-core), 500GB SATA hard drive with 16GB ExpressCache, 4GB DDR3 memory (expandable to 8GB), Intel HD Graphics 3000, 8x DVD burner, 1.3MP webcam, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, GbE LAN, HDMI and VGA outputs, multi-memory card reader, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
As for the bad? Well, it's refurbished by Samsung, which could mean any number of things. And, in our experience, shipping can sometimes be a tad slow at Daily Steals. Finally, it's not rocking a dedicated solid state drive (SSD), which is part of the fun of owning an Ultrabook. If none of these (potential) negatives bother you, however, this is a stellar deal that's $350 (or 37 percent) off the the list price and about as cheap as you're going to find an Ultrabook.
