Samsung's new ST5500/CL80 Wi-Fi enabled digital camera will now come with pre-loaded with Boingo software and three months of free Boingo service. With this offering, users will be able to connect to 125,000 Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide to share their photos and videos while on the go.

With Wi-Fi connectivity, Samsung ST5500/CL80 users will be able to share memories via social networks such as Facebook and YouTube directly from the camera. The ST5500/CL80 is a point-and-shoot model with a 14.2 megapixel sensor, HD video recording capabilities, a touch-screen keypad, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless. The Samsung ST5500/CL80 digital camera is available in most regions worldwide. Samsung intends to announce U.S. availability in the near future. In the future, Samsung and Boingo intend to announce support for additional models.

LOS ANGELES--Boingo Wireless, the global leader in Wi-Fi, today announced that Samsung’s new Wi-Fi enabled digital cameras will be pre-loaded with Boingo software, allowing customers to connect to 125,000 Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide for on-the-go photo and video sharing.

Initially, Boingo software will be pre-installed on the Samsung ST5500/CL80 digital camera, and users will be offered three months of complimentary Boingo Wi-Fi access. Support for additional models will be announced as they become available.

The agreement between Boingo and Samsung addresses burgeoning market demand for Internet-capable consumer devices such as cameras. With Wi-Fi connectivity, ST5500/CL80 shutterbugs have the option to instantly share captured moments on social networks such as Facebook and YouTube – directly from the camera. Users easily connect when in a Boingo hotspot by tapping the onscreen Boingo button.
