Samsung Nexus S Lands at AT&T, Costs a C-Note with Activation

We just received word that Samsung's Nexus S smarphone from Google is landing at AT&T this weekend. Starting Sunday, July 24th, you'll be able to trot into your local Best Buy brick-and-mortar store and pick one up for $99.99 with a new, two-year activation. Feeling impatient? You can place your pre-order today in Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile specialty stores, and online at www.BestBuy.com/Mobile.

In case you're not yet familiar with the Nexus S, which is already available on Sprint and T-Mobile, a quick rundown of the spec sheet looks like this:
  • 4-inch Super AMOLED display (480x800)
  • 1GHz Cortez A8 (Hummingbird) processor
  • 16GB iNAND flash memory
  • Front-facing VGA camera
  • Rear-facing 5MP camera and camcorder
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi; Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
  • microUSB 2.0
Perhaps one of the coolest features of the Nexus S is that it runs the latest, unadulterated version of Android for handsets (2.3 / Gingerbread). There's no funky skin to get accustomed to, just Android in its purest form.
