Report: Early Mac OS X 10.9 Builds Point to Siri and Maps Integration
9to5Mac says that Apple began working on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and OS X 10.9 at the same time and planned to include several features of iOS in both. Some items that didn’t make it into 10.8 were slated to come in 10.9.
Additionally, although many users probably won’t be as enthused about it as they will be Siri integration, the Apple Maps app may be coming to Mac OS X 10.9, too. Apple’s own iOS Maps app has been a punch line since it debuted, but Apple is apparently dedicated to the project. In any case, by integrating its Maps, developers can embed a map into their own apps in the Mac App Store.
