Procrastinators Rejoice, Amazon Extends Free Shipping Deadline For Christmas Eve Delivery

The hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season can be overwhelming, especially when there are so many other things on the never-ending to-do list. You know, like shop for an ugly sweater, print up a recipe book for the relatives, prepare the guest room for the holidays, and stock up on booze (you're going to need it). Before you know it, the deadline to shop online has passed, meaning you have to head to a crowded mall and shove your way through rude shoppers. Well, luckily for you, Amazon saw this coming and decided to extend its free shipping cutoff date.

Now you have until December 19 (11:59 p.m. EST) to place an order that qualifies for Free Shipping and have it arrive before Christmas. And if you're an Amazon
Prime member, you can order eligible items by December 22 and have them arrive Christmas Eve.

"For the truly last-minute shoppers, customers in 12 major metro areas can choose from as many as a million eligible items for same-day delivery, order as late as 10:00 a.m. on Dec. 24 and have items delivered before Santa arrives," Amazon added.
