NVIDIA And Samsung Announce The GALAXY R Tegra-Powered Super Phone

NVIDIA and Samsung announced the latest GALAXY smartphone known as the GALAXY R. This smartphone will feature a 4.19-inch WVGA Super Clear LCD and will utilize the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile super chip. The GALAXY R will run on Android 2.3. In addition to a dual-core CPU, the GALAXY R will also have a GeForce GPU. Although the GALAXY R is only available in Sweden at this time, we're hopeful it will come to our shores soon. NVIDIA and Samsung have said the phone will come to other regions, most notably to parts of Europe, parts of Asia, and China.

The GALAXY R gives more consumers the opportunity to enjoy the never-before-seen experiences enabled by Tegra, the world's first mobile processor with a dual-core CPU. The GALAXY R also features a GeForce™ GPU for fast Web browsing with hardware-accelerated Adobe Flash Player support, full HD video and console-quality gaming.
