MSI Introduces 14" CX410 Notebook With AMD CPU, ATI GPU

Another week, another MSI notebook for the taking! This time around, MSI is skipping on by the hardcore gamers and going straight for those on the fence. The ones trying to decide between a 13" ultraportable and a 15" mainstream notebook. The 14" CX410 is the company's newest in the Classic Series, featuring AMD internals and ATI graphics.

Being in the Classic family, there's nothing too extraordinary about the design. It's pretty standard, but that's perfect for the mobile professional who does't want to draw too much attention. There's a matte black finish, metal touchpad keys and MSI's own "beveled construction." Underneath all of that, there's a 14" 16:9 backlit LCD, up to 8GB of memory, an AMD Athlon II Dual-Core CPU and ATI's Mobility Radeon HD 545v with 512MB of GDDR3 memory of its own.

As you would expect from an MSI notebook, there's also the company's ECO Engine for saving power when possible, and users will also find a high resolution webcam, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and a 2.5" hard drive (250/320/500GB SATA). Other specifications include a 4-in-1 card reader, HDMI/VGA outputs, three USB 2.0 ports, audio in/out, a 6-cell standard battery and two internal speakers. There's no word yet on pricing, but we suspect it'll hit on the lower end of 14" business notebooks.
