HP's 2709m 27" LCD Monitor Does 1080p While Looking Good
We've been more focused on Hewlett-Packard's latest assault on the
notebook world than its LCD doings here lately, but this beauty was
just too stunning to let slide under the radar. The ultra-sleek 2709m
is a 27" LCD monitor that offers a true 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, a
1920x1080 Full HD resolution, 5ms on/off response times, 400 nits of
brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.
It also supports 92% of the color gamut, arrives with integrated 2-watt stereo speakers and touts a VGA port, DVI-D socket and a pair of HDMI connectors, both of which have HDCP compatibility. And...that's about it. No built in card reader, no webcam and no bonus USB ports. In most respects, this LCD is about as plain as it gets, but the super stylish motif and the reasonable price tag have kept us interested.
Speaking of which, it's available to order right now from HP for $499.99.
