Halo: Fireteam Raven Is A Thrilling Coin-Eating Co-Op Arcade Game Coming This Fall

Lots of gamers out there will have very fond memories of the 2001 Xbox game Halo: Combat Evolved. Now, the very first ever Halo arcade game has been unveiled and the game takes place in the same timeframe as that 2001 fan favorite. Halo: Fireteam Raven is a collaboration of Microsoft and 343 Industries with Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. The game is one of those four player outings you have probably seen in the arcade before with a giant cabinet with four guns and four seats inside.

The cooperative game lets you fight alongside Master Chief to stop the Covenant and save the galaxy. Players will also have to fight the parasitic Flood in the game, assuming your coins and prowess get you to that point. Inside the giant structure of the game is a 130-inch, 4K screen with four turret-mounted, multipurpose guns.

Fireteam Raven has you playing as one of an elite quartet of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers that are dropped onto Alpha Halo to prevent the bad guys from getting hands on the Halo superweapon. The game requires cooperation between the four players to make it through, but you can compete against friends for the high score. There is a QRC code that is scannable on the game that connects progress in the arcade game with your Halo Waypoint account so you can compare scores and progress.

Halo: Fireteam Raven will be installed in select Dave & Busters locations in the U.S. and Canada this summer. Additional locations will get the game this fall, but there is no indication where those additional locations might be. One thing we don’t know is how much it will cost to play the game, Dave & Busters games are notoriously expensive so more than a few credits or tokens is a safe guess.
