If you just cannot wait for Anthem to be released at the end of the month, now is your time to get a taste of that sweet exo-suit action. Anthem is free to play this weekend on the Xbox, Playstation 4, and PC. The demo ends Sunday, February 3rd at 9PM EST.

PC players will need to log into Origin using their EA account and go to the Anthem product page. They will next need to click “Try it First” to add the game to their library. Anthem will then be available for download. The minimum requirements are an Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350 processor, an NVIDIA GTX 760 or AMD Radeon 7970/R9280X, 2GB GPU RAM, 8GB of system memory, at least 50GB of free space, and a 512 kbps or faster stable internet connection.

Xbox One players will be required to download the game from the Xbox One Store and Playstation 4 players will need to download it from the Playstation 4 store. Since the game is online, you will need a PlayStation Plus membership or Xbox LIVE Gold subscription. Players will also need to link their EA account to their console account.

All demo players will start out at level 10 so that they can experiment with more powerful weapons and exo-suits or “Javelins”. Each player will begin with the Ranger Javelin and will be able to unlock the Colossus, Interceptor, or Storm Javelin at level 12. It is important to note that you will only be able to unlock one another Javelin (for a total of two) during the demo. If you also played during the Anthem VIP demo, you could potentially unlock all four Javelins.

Players will be able to play through two story missions solo or in a group. You will also be able to explore a small portion of the Anthem map and tackle the “Stronghold” with three other players. Demo experience is capped at level 15 and experience from the Anthem VIP demo does carry over.

There are a number of caveats to note. First, the economy in the demo is different then the one in the actual game. Second, your progress from the demos will not carry over once the game is launched. Last, you will need to download and install the full game when it launches.

Anthem is a third-person shooter, online multiplayer RPG. Gamers play as a “Freelancer” or a fallen hero who is charged with protecting the inhabitants of Fort Tarsis. Players are able to customize Javelins and weapons, fulfill missions, and explore new territories. BioWare has been developing the game since 2012 and it will fully launch on February 22nd.
