Target And Staple Offering Big Discounts On iPad Mini And iPad Air Tablets

One of the telltale signs that Apple is getting ready to release new products is when retailers start marking down prices for current generation items, especially when they're representative of deep discounts. We're starting to see that happen on some items -- more specifically, both Target and Staples are now offering discounted iPad mini and iPad Air tablets.

If you head over to Target, you'll find iPad Air models selling for $50 off the normal price, and a generous $100 discount on iPad mini tablets -- that beats Apple's refurbished price by $20! According to the website listing, the sale is valid for this week only. In addition, 9to5Mac says it heard from Target that supplies are limited, so act sooner than later if you plan to pick one up at a discount. Heads up that these prices are supposed to good in-store as well.

Prefer to shop at Staples? No worries -- you can find all iPad Air models in Space Gray or Silver selling for $30 off, plus Staples recently seems to made permanent a $100 discount that previously needed a coupon code (79449). That brings the tallies down for Wi-Fi versions to $369 for the 16GB model, $469 for the 32GB model, $569 for the 64GB model, and $769 for the 128GB model.

In case you missed our previous coverage, on top of all this AT&T has begun making room for next generation devices (such as the iPhone 6) by offering $200 discounts on iPad tablets when purchasing an iPhone 5C or iPhone 5S.
