Slimmer MacBook Pro and MacBook Air Projected To Launch at WWDC Haswell Inside

With Apple's WWDC set to take place next week in San Francisco, speculation surrounding what will be unveiled is high. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the MacBook line could see a lot of attention. With Intel's Haswell processors announced just yesterday, it seems certain that some MacBooks will soon feature the chips. Exactly which models is uncertain, but we'd hope the final answer would be "all".

The Retina MacBook Pro's design would be slimmed down in the 13-inch model, while the line's camera would be upgraded to 1080p, which we'd hope would also reflect itself with Facetime use. Improvements are also expected for the MacBook Air, although the main improvement mentioned would be the addition of dual microphones.

Of course, the truly big news here is the addition of Intel's Haswell processors. While their performance boost over Ivy Bridge is noticeable, it's mobile users who will truly appreciate its added benefits, such as the projected +50% battery-life. Apple's always been very good at making its laptops last as long as possible on a battery charge, so it'll be interesting to see what the company has done with Haswell in hand.
