Rumor: AMD To Receive Foreign Investment?
As with all rumors, take the following story with a grain of salt until we receive official confirmation or denial from AMD.
Rumor has it that AMD might receive some sort of financial bailout from the Middle East. At this time there is no word on who is allegedly offering to help out, or what kind of stake in the company they'll be given.
“This move, if and when it happens, will relieve AMD of a pile of debts it owes, and give it the space, time and money to open a new fab in Malta, New York State, because the company have plans to go for that, big time.”
