Nokia Lumia 1020 Already Drops $30 on Contract, Now $269

Well, that didn't take long. Nokia's latest flagship smartphone, the Lumia 1020, has just experienced a $30 price-drop, settling at $269 (with contract). This move comes HOT on the heels of our review that we posted earlier today, and given the overall thoughts on the device, a price-drop does help the phone to look a bit more attractive.

In his exhaustive look, Ray found that the Lumia 1020 performed no different than last year's Lumia 920/925, which does put a damper on things. We're talking about a phone that's $269.99 under contract, after all. No contract = $699. Apart from that, the 1020 can boast the unique feature of having a mammoth 41-megapixel camera, which was found to deliver quite good performance and image quality (save for some shutter lag).

The biggest hurt for the 1020, and any other Windows Phone-equipped smartphone is the ecosystem, which Ray referred to as being "incomplete" - sad, but very true. Still, if you understand the caveats, which are tackled extensively in our review, the 1020 remains worthy of consideration.
