Lenovo Adds Color to Utrabook Form Factor; Launches IdeaPad U310, U410 Models

If you always though Intel's Ultrabook form factor could use an injection of color, consider yourself on the same wavelength as Lenovo, which today announced the worldwide availability its apparently "coveted" IdeaPad U310 (13.3-inch) and U410 (14-inch) Ultrabook models powered by Intel's 3rd Generation Core processor line (Ivy Bridge).

"Ultrabooks are an industry game changer that shift not only the way people think about laptop design, but also how much performance technology can be packed into such a thin and light device," said Peter Hortensius, president, Product Group, Lenovo. "Lenovo Ultrabooks free people from having to choose between a device with a productivity-focused user experience and one with a style and design that inspire their creativity. The IdeaPad U Series Ultrabooks embody this convergence and are the perfect tool for consumers to manage every aspect of their digital lives."

On the outside, Lenovo's new Ultrabooks come in a slew of color options, including Graphite Grey, Aqua Blue, Sapphire Blue, Cherry Blossom Pink, and Metallic Red. Underneath and around the colorful hood, these devices ship with Core i3, i5, and i7 processor options, up to 1TB of storage, Nvidia GeForce graphics, and up to 9 hours of battery life (up to 500GB and 7 hours of battery life on the U310).

MSRP for the IdeaPad U310 starts at $749 and $799 for the IdeaPad U410.
