Fujitsu Introduces ScanSnap S1300i, Boasts Scan-to-Mobile and Cloud Support

Even as the world digitizes more and every day, paper products--receipts, business cards, bills, and so on--are still an ever-present reality, which is why Fujitsu has its handy family of portable ScanSnap scanners. The latest member is the ScanSnap S1300i, which boasts some new productivity features, the ability to scan to mobile devices, and support for scanning directly to cloud services such as Dropbox.

The device is compatible with both Macs and PCs, can run on USB power, and is rated for 12 double-sided color pages per minute. It features automatic quality selection, Mark Text to turn highlighted items into searchable keywords, ABBYY FineReader that converts scanned documents into Word or Excel docs, the ability to pull info from a business card and convert it to a contact in Address Book or Outlook, and more.

Available for both iOS and Android platforms, the ScanSnap Connect app allows users to scan documents directly to mobile devices via WiFi. The S1300i’s cloud support is impressive; the device can scan directly to Dropbox, Evernote, Google Docs, SugarSync, and Salesforce Chatter, allowing users to stash scanned documents right to the cloud. The ScanSnap Folder lets users scan directly into most Windows and Web applications, further streamlining the scanning/editing/saving process.

The ScanSnap S1300i is available now with a price tag of $295.
