Epic Posts Video Of First Unreal Engine 4 Powered Unreal Tournament Game Play Action

Find yourself wondering how development on the newest Unreal Tournament is coming along? It just so happens that Epic Games posted video footage of its upcoming first person shooter to YouTube, which offers up a limited look at Unreal Tournament's first-ever Deathmatch game play. Things are pretty basic at the moment, though coming along.

The new Unreal Tournament is being built around Unreal Engine 4. Epic Games has promised that it will be a collaborative effort between the developers and community.

"From the very first line of code, the very first art created and design decision made, development will happen in the open, as a collaboration between Epic, UT fans, and UE4 developers," Steve Polge, senior project programmer for Unreal Tournament, wrote in blog post.

The weapons system, kill scoring, and a "very basic movement prototype" are all up and running in the early build, which you can view in the embedded video above. You can also spy some game hacks that won't be available to gamers, but are included in the build to help test the game.
