Electronic Arts Gives Birth To "Emotionally Aware" Sims 4 For PC
There's a new Sims title in town, and it's unlike any previous version you've played before. The Sims 4, now available on PC, lets you create Sims that have their own personalities, and just as in real life, they change over time depending on how you interact with them. According to Electronic Arts, these new Sims are smarter, more relatable, and emotionally aware.
"Every Sim is unique in The Sims 4, your own individual creations that come to life with big personalities and endless possibilities," said Rachel Franklin, Executive Producer for The Sims 4. "Who they are on the inside changes the way you play. Your Sims embody the traits and aspirations you give them in The Sims 4, and playing out their charming, hilarious and crazy stories has never been more fun."
As a player, you not only control the mind and body, but also the emotions of these new Sims. Every action a Sim makes is affected by who they are, what they're thinking, and how they're feeling, EA says.
EA also revamped the Create A Sim and Build Mode functions to be more powerful and tactile than in previous versions with features like direct manipulation and drag-and-drop. When you're finished, you can now share your creations with other players directly in the game. Using the new Gallery, you can upload or download Sims, houses, and even individual rooms.
The Sims 4 on PC is available now starting at $60 for the standard version. There's also a $70 Digital Deluxe version exclusively available through EA's Origin distribution system that adds a Life of the Party, Up All Night, and Awesome Animal Hats DLC as well as a digital soundtrack. Finally, you can snag the Premium Edition for $80, which comes with a Creator's Guide hardcover book, Up All Night DLC, and Life of the Party DLC.
