BlackBerry Z10 Expected To Arrive For AT&T Customers on March 22

If you were truly impatient, you could have picked up a BlackBerry Z10 for $1,000 off-contract from Solavei, a relative newcomer to the wireless carrier market, and you can still pay through the nose if you want to (it's currently marked down to $709). It's said that patience is a virtue, but it can also save you money, as the BlackBerry Z10 is reportedly going on sale at AT&T beginning March 22, 2013.

That means waiting another two weeks, but barring any boneheaded decisions by BlackBerry or AT&T, the Z10 handset will likely sell for a subsidized price that's far cheaper than Solavei is asking. With a standard two-year service agreement, we expect the Z10 to sell for no more than $200, which is par for course for a high-end handset.

Keep in mind that the release date comes courtesy of "two people familiar with the plan," Bloomberg reports, so there's a chance March 22 could come and go without a Z10 in sight. And of course BlackBerry is refusing to comment on rumors.

"BlackBerry has not announced official launch dates for the BlackBerry Z10 in the U.S. and we are not able to conform any rumored launched dates on behalf of our carrier partners," a BlackBerry spokesman told Bloomberg in an email.

The Z10 is BlackBerry's newest flagship smartphone. It has a 4.2-inch display with a 1280x768 resolution (356 pixels per inch), 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, microSD card slot, USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI output, removable 1,800mAh battery, and of course the new BlackBerry 10 software.
