Best Buy Lands Exclusive Acer M5 Multi-Touch Notebook Running Haswell

The only place you can score Acer's new M5-583P-6428 laptop is at Best Buy, where it's being offered exclusively for $700. It features a 10-point multi-touch display powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i5 4200U dual-core processor (Haswell) clocked at 1.6GHz (2.6GHz via Turbo) with 3MB of cache and Intel HD Graphics 4400 clocked at 200MHz base and 1GHz max.

Like so many of today's laptops, the M5 is a svelte machine measuring less than an inch thick. It sports a new metal chassis with clean modern lines, a silver aluminum finish, "soft touch" texture on the bottom, and a backlit keyboard, a feature we love to see in an affordable Ultrabook form factor.

Acer also says that its battery can go for 1,000 cycles, lasting up to 4 years, courtesy of its PowerSmart technology.
