Apple's Next Device Might Be a Smart Watch

It's long been rumored that Apple plans to launch its own brand high definition television, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. According to the latest water cooler chatter, Apple's next new product might be much, much smaller. So small, in fact, that you could wear it on your wrist.

That's right, we're talking about a "smart watch." A technology website in China claims to have heard from "supply chain sources" that Apple is building a Bluetooth-enabled smart watch designed by Intel, which we'll refer to as "iWatch" (unofficial name) from here on out.

According to the rumor, Apple's iWatch will feature a 1.5-inch OLED display with indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass. It will communicate with an iPhone, allowing users to answer calls on their watch. Other details are not yet known, though we can surmise that the iWatch will let users launch certain apps, look up directions via Siri, and things of that nature.

As far as a release date, Apple is supposedly targeting the first half of 2013.
