Adobe Creative Cloud Suite With Streaming Photoshop Coming To Chromebooks

In a move to supplement its list of applications available on its Chromebooks, Google has announced a partnership with Adobe on its official website. The new partnership will bring Adobe’s Creative Cloud onto Chromebooks starting with a streaming version of Photoshop.

Google revealed that the new feature will be available first to U.S.-based Adobe education customers as part of a beta. Named Project Photoshop Streaming, is exclusive to consumers who have a paid Creative Cloud membership. Those who apply will receive a response within three to four weeks.

“This streaming version of Photoshop is designed to run straight from the cloud to your Chromebook,” said Google Chrome product manager Stephen Konig. “It’s always up-to-date and fully integrated with Google Drive, so there’s no need to download and re-upload files—just save your art directly from Photoshop to the cloud. For IT administrators, it’s easy to manage, with no long client installation and one-click deployment to your team’s Chromebooks.”

While Photoshop is the only app available right now, more Adobe applications will be made available. But not only will users be able to access Adobe’s Creative Cloud from Google’s Chromebook, but any Windows device that has the Chrome browser installed.
