AOC Slashes $100 Off Cinematic 29-inch UltraWide Display for Limited Time

There hasn't been a whole of innovation in recent years when it comes to large screen monitors in the neighborhood of 30 inches. That's about to change. For one, 4K Ultra HD resolution is attempting to gain a foothold in the mainstream market, though it will still be some time before we see a deluge of affordable 4K monitors. Secondly, UltraWide displays are making a bid for the desktop, and if you're on the fence about whether or not to get one, AOC hopes to give you a push by temporarily dropping the price of its Cinematic 29-inch UltraWide Q2963PM monitor.

From now through June 30, AOC's UltraWide display is available at Best Buy, Newegg, TigerDirect, and other locales for $399. That's $100 off the original MSRP, and up to $300 less than competitive displays, AOC claims.

AOC Q2963PM

The Q2963PM uses an in-plane switching (IPS) LED-backlit panel for superior color accuracy and wider viewing angles than what you'll find on even the best TFT panels. As an UltraWide panel, it has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 2560x1080 (WFHD). Connectivity options include VGA, DVI-D with HDCP, HDMI (MHL), and DisplayPort.

Other notable features include a 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 6ms response time, dual 3W speakers, and support for both picture-in-picture (PIP) and picture-by-picture (PBP) modes.
