    Asus P5W64 WS Professional

    Hello everyone, i need ur help.

    I have this motherboard Asus P5W64 WS Professional and last night i wanted to update latest bios from version 0402 to version 1101 so i can use my E8400.

    Stupid thing i did was because i tryed to update from vista 64 biti i think, anyway i usesd asus update program and updated the bios from file version 1101 everything was ok but at veryfind rom or something it failed to check EEPROM. After that it restarded and never went back on .
    I need help to restore it someohow please

    You most likely killed your bios. If you contact Asus they will send you a new bios chip with the bios already flashed on it. They are cheap. Like $20. They will even overnight them for a extra fee of course.

    Have you tryed to clear cmos?

    If you have your motherboard manual handy, there should be a section on BIOS recovery procedures.  You'll have to follow those instructions step-by-step for your particular board, but you should be able to recover it.  Good luck.

    The section in the motherboard manual you're looking for is "ASUS Crash Free BIOS Utility 3".  It explains how to recover the BIOS using the support CD or using a USB flash drive.
