    No Spell Checker In Forum

This is just a minor grievance of mine, but I have noticed that when I post via adding comments directly at the bottom of threads accessed from the main page the spell checker built into Firefox works, however when I add comments through the forum as I am doing now it does not. Not the end of the world, but I hate making posts with spelling errors and it would be more convenient if the spell checker worked here as well. While I am at it, it would also be nice if there was a way to add in the subject for posts made via main page articles. Hope you are able to understand what I mean.

    Thanks

Re: No Spell Checker In Forum

It seems that I remember a spell-check in the forum-reply toolbar...but now it is gone! Didn't there used to be one, or am I losing it? But yeah, spell-check is a real plus.

Yea a spell checker would be nice, when typing at snail speed with a dog on my lap it'd be a big help.

Re: No Spell Checker In Forum

I would agree on this one =P...I've gotten use to it..but it would be a very nice feature to add in. But if there wasn't one before, the forum probably doesn't support one. Unless what SuperDave says is true..then it must be a bug or disabled....=(..

Even if there is no built in spell checker, it would be nice if what ever is preventing the automatic spell checker function in Firefox from working was taken care of.

Agreed; my understanding and usage of the english language is fine, my spelling is a problem. I would like to see a spell check option or have firefox's spellcheck enabled.

This is my Sig. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Re: No Spell Checker In Forum

hmm. my spell check seems to work OK in SeaMonkey. I see red lines under misspelled words and can right click and get suggested fixes.. see where ywanker is obscurred by the box popping up.. If anyone wants install something on their machine IEspell does wonders for IE and Aspell for mozilla based browsers

I do of course realize that installing something on your machine is a last resort. And judging from my own posts I have horrible spelling myself.

Interesting. Thanks for pointing that out ice_73. Either that is new, or I just never noticed it before. I haven't seen "spell check this field" as a right click option before, so I never thought to look.
