    HIS X1950PRO ICE Q 256MB TURBO AGP

    I JUST BOUGHT  AN HIS X1950PRO ICE Q 256MB TURBO AGP.

    BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. READING IT SAID THAT A TURBO CARD

    IN SOFTWARE THERE IS A "TURBO BUTTON" TO PRESS

    AND SOFTWARE WOULD AUTO OC VIDEO CARD.

    SOFTWARE NEVER CAME WITH CARD

    THE CD SENT ME TO ATI SITE TO DOWNLOAD

    LATEST  DRIVERS AND CATALYST CONTROL CENTER 7.6

    WHEN YOU GO TO HIS SITE AND IT SHOWS  DOWNLOADS

    IS IT THIS SOFTWARE?  OR JUST ATI  DRIVERS ETC. ?

    I took a spin thru the HIS site (here) it would seem they recommend ATi CCC drivers so I don't see any reason to argue.    As they explain on their site however they tailor these cards to OCers by using better quality components to hopefully deliver a  better end user OC.

    Here's quote from website:

    HIS Turbo edition guarantees a dramatic range of overclockable speed on your card. All IceQ series come with both Turbo and non Turbo (standard) editions. Check for the box containing this label. It identifies this is a "Turbo" edition card and marked with the guaranteed overclocking speed in core and memory.

     I would be inclined to say stop looking to the ATi driver suite for an OC, Start looking toward something like ATi Tool / ATi Tray tools or Powerstrip.
