    Video Card Issue

    Good Morning everyone!


    My problem is that i hooked up everything in my computer but i cant send a signal to my monitor. I tried 2 different video cards , one in which i know for sure works  and neither of them could send a signal to the monitor. The processor fan ,hard drive, video card (fan) spins.

     

    Computer specs

    ESC mobo nforce 570 SLIT -A

    2gb Ram

    8600gt nforce 256

    sounds like a dumb think to ask but make sure the four pin connecter on the mobo is pluged in. I've done that countless time. If it is just try unplugging everything and redoing all the plugs. also make sure the power supply is set to 115 not 220volts. its a little red switch on the back.

    Ok the 4 pin would be the additional 4pin connector that comes form the power supply?

    Make certain not to confuse it with the additional motherboard power header as a pciexpress plug has the same orientation and could damage your card. Also to note it is possible you have a psu without a pcie header if so you should use the pcie to molex adapter that came with the card. Now should it not be power related. Are you hearing any post code when you turn the pc on?  Have you tested it outside the case? You could have a ground issue in the case.
