    RAM or Motherboard?

I've been getting memory erros while playing World of Warcraft, and only while playing World of Warcraft... It'll tell me it can't read the memory, and then I'll run a hardware diagnostic and Windows will tell me something is wrong... But then I rearrange the RAM, and did the test again (All on one side, all on the other, all in red, all in yellow) and Windows tells me everything is fine... I'm trying to reinstall WoW to see if that will fix it, if not I"m RMAing the motherboard... I can't RMA anything else because my stupid friend threw out my boxes, so, lol....

    Re: RAM or Motherboard?

Download memtest86 also orthos and follw the instructions. Let memtest86 test at least 4 loops and a overclock isn't considered reliable until it can do 8hrs on orthos. Should you get an error pay close attention to the fault address and remove the offending stick rinse repeat steps till errors go away. Also check your memory timings and voltages . And if overclocked and i believe you are make sure you have enough northbridge voltage on the board to get the memory stable. Are you running orthos to stress test your overclocks? Are you sure your overclcok is stable and not erroring out as when cpu cache fails it gives a memory fault.Game crashes are a sign of a unstable overclock. Now time to stress test that system and get back with us so you can get your Fold On!!!!
