What do you tell someone who thinks, when it comes to Core 2 Duo vs. the 64 X2 and even the X3's and X4's, that AMD is better?

I actually know some idiot who went AMD with the 790FX chipset, two 4850's, and get this........ A 5000+ Black Edition! HAHAHAHAH He think it's better than my E7200... I mean he picked a nice GPU set up but wow what an ass....

I won a Pentium D from here and when I went to other site people always mocked my cpu because is was not as good a deal as the AMDs at the time, or to hot or whatever. I have to say though I was still very happy with it. I don't understand paying for a cpu like that though. Brand loyalty has always confused me. Its not like they will be upset if you don't buy from them.

Being a fanboy can cut you out of alot of good products. It also sometimes makes you accept less for your money. Where is the companys loyalty to its customer?

The fact that he thinks his is better means he is delussional. There are some good reasons to build the machine he did, but speed and dominance isn't one of them. You posted recently that you have a single 8800GTS. Since he has a pair of 4850's, in gaming, his rig does indeed beat yours.  Quite handily as in games the GPU's are far more important than CPU's. Maybe that was the source of his bragging. Either way, while he would be a fanboy for bragging about his chip,  you sound the same laughing and bragging here. Just my opinion and please watch the language in future posts.

Hahah, looks like I got me a stalker! I like that, it's cute! You're right though, his system beats the hell our of mine. However, I didn't start this thread to say my system was better, or that my CPU was better. I started this to make fun of people who thin AMD's better than Intel, he's just an example of the kind of stupid people I meet, lol.

Your post and the reason you state for posting it sounds just as fanbyish as your friends statement. Maybe it's just because I am 40. I'm not sure why would think I am stalking you. As far as I know that is the only post of yours I have answered. But to each his own.

Nah I think you were answered that one I put in Tech Support about my 8800GTS screwing up... I ain't a fan boy either man, I got with whoever offers the best performance for the best value... Maybe it's cause I'm 16, but I think this thread looks like a place to make fun of AMD Fan Boy. But as you said; But to each his own. :)

I think what he is trying to say is that we try not to make fun of people here. Its a place to talk and have fun but foremost its a place for people that don't know any better to learn.

Thank you Bob. that's exactly what I was trying to say. There are plenty of places where all that goes on is people flaming each other and laughing at each other and what not. Problem is, not much else gets said or accomplished. That's why I hang out here.
