    Lenovo Unveils Atom-Based IdeaPad S10 Netbook

    Lenovo has just announced a new line-up of IdeaPad S10 netbooks built around Intel's Atom CPU.  Like many of the other members of Lenovo's IdeaPad product family, the S10 netbooks are available in a variety of colors and in a few different configurations.  Take a look...

    • Starts at $399, two configurations. The $399 unit has 512MB / 80G HDD and the $449.99 unit is 1GB / 160G HDD.

    • Shipping in September in the US.In some countries there will be 9” versions different colors and Linux preloads.

    china (lenovo) is getting better and better, well they needed to get a higher market share, 10% wasn't cutting it. I have to add their design kind of look like the xps/studio line but hey lenovo are reliable and according to a survey done by msn few weeks ago they are = or better than sony. in terms of reliable and services which is very high!

    I was glad to see they used WindowsXp when I saw the 512mb model. :) There are a lot of practical uses for something like this and I guess Intel has a hit in the making.

    I used to carry a hammer in my computer tool kit. Just for fixing the packard Bells though.......
