So No One Saw Batman this weekend?

What gives? I thought it would be all over the place after this weekend! I saw it and loved every single minute of it!

    I guess I'm no-one !!

I saw Batman on Friday - it was the best yet.   Ledger really was great, and it has nothing to do with his being dead.    At the reception when the joker is walking toward Rachel, and sweeps his hair back with his hand (with the knife in it), and later when he's hanging out the window of the police car, those images will stay with me for a long time.

i saw it today and was filled with trepidation due to the unusual amount of praise heaped upon it by mindless autonomous journalists but was really really impressed. i mean they properly frakked up wanted. that comic was brilliant but i havent even thought of seeing the film after just the trailer, i mean ' we are a fraternity of assassins" who can take a film with that line in it seriously?!

I Have not seen it yet but I been wanting too. I knew it would be good and I love the realism they are doing with the new series of batmans.

I've seen it twice.  It's a masterpiece.  Certainly the best movie in a few years.  This is how you do super hero movies, wow.

Re: So No One Saw Batman this weekend?

I saw it last night -- my theater in my hometown was pretty much packed to the brim all weekend so I waited; it seems that on opening weekends all the teeny-boppers go and semi-ruin the experience. You know the ones that talk loudly and make noises to try and be funny....

Anyway, I absolutely LOVED it!!! Heath was just plain awesome....I guess he truely go to go out with a bang hmm? TBH anyone else playing the Joker wouldn't have been nearly as convincing...on that note I sincerely hope if they make a new movie that the Joker isn't in it just for that fact.

I have not heard if they plain on making another one though....any word from you guys?

I haven't seen the movie yet. But... last night, I did see this program on the History channel called "Batman Tech". I thought the episode was really interesting. You guys should all check it out.

to be honest I didn't even know about it really until it came out and everyone started raving about it. I don't really watch much Tv anymore though so that may be why. Anything else out there that I am missing?

Nelson, you poor sheltered man.  The Dark Knight really is one that will go down in history as one of the best.  Don't skip out on this.  Have you seen Batman Begins at least?  If not, rent it and then see Dark Knight.  It's an experience worth the few bucks, I assure you.

Re: So No One Saw Batman this weekend?

I think I have seen Batman Begins. To be honest there are so many Batman movies it's hard to remember. I watch alot of movies on demand or through Blockbuster but not much on TV. There's just not alot of shows on I care to watch anymore and the one's I do like are reruns. Not to mention the movie theaters are so freakin expensive anymore. I mean really why do I need to pay 40 bucks just to get 2 tickets a popcorn and a soda. Now the Imax is a different story, I have no problem paying for that.

I wonder what kind of resolutions they are shooting in regular movie theaters anyway. (not to change the subject)

I've already erased the old batman movies from my memories. The new ones starting with Batman Begins got everything just right imo.

I believe this might be the info you are looking for concerning resolutions of projectors:

interesting. thanks RyuGTX. Although at the distance you typically watch cinema movies, you really can't appreciate the quality or resolution. I guess though with screens that size though you would need a hgiher resolution like that. If I ever get a home theater setup though I may never step foot in a normal theater again!

I will have to order Batman begins from BB online just in case I didn't see it.

I saw it on Friday.  Anyone else feel like it was two movies in one?  Because of that I felt like it dragged a little.  I thought it was awesome though.  Kudos to Ledger.

That must have been crazy ice!

Based on everyones' comments, I'll be dragging the wife to see it this weekend in reciprocation for her dragging me to see "Love in the Time of Cholera" (which I actually enjoyed but we won't tell her that. Wink )

The movie was set up to be a trilogy. With Anime bridging each movie. Batman:Gotham Knight Bridges the 1 and 2 movies.  I dont know what the next anime movie will be but it will bridge to the last one.
