    Asus Eee PC 900 Ultra Mobile PC

    We're writing to let you all know that we have just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the new Asus Eee PC 900.  As most of you know, due to the success of the original Eee PCs, Asus followed up with numerous accessories and multi-colored models in the months after their initial release.  The follow-up units were essentially identical to the originals though, save for the different colored enclosures.  The first really major change to the Eee PC line-up would be the Eee PC 900, which was just introduced about two weeks ago.

    Although the new Eee PC 900 and Eee PC 700 series machines have similar hardware foundations, Asus has tweaked the 900 in a number of meaningful ways including a bigger screen, a multi-touch touchpad and more storage.  Click the link below and check it out...

    Looking nice.  Very subtle difference from the old model.  3 hours isn't bad for a UMPC, I guess.

     The atom processor will be really light on power is they are going use it with initial shipments.

    Atom will be used with the next-gen 901. Should be shipping soon, but no firm details just yet.

    Great revue guys. Just a quick note however...... Which battery did yours ship with? Was it the 4400mAh or 5200? I was hoping with the price increase that it may ship with the bigger flavour power brick!

    Cant really moan about the price though. If users want a £200 eeePC they have the option of the 7 inch version. This is a little luxury for those who want it. At least there is a choice. I will be interested to see the overall footprint of the 1000 version when its released....
