    Compatibility Corsair and Crucial Balistix

    OK I currently have 2 Gigs of Balistx 1066 with timings of 5.5.5.15 and have coming in on order 2 gigs of Corsair XMS2 1066 with 5.5.5.15.....would this matter if I put them in the same system? I am trying it in the AM. Chipset is a Nforce 6850i.

    You should be fine. Although i have seen some systems act very weird mix matching memory but as long as they have the same Latency and Speed ratings you should be fine. I've built a system in the past with some Kingston and some generic memory and they rean dual channel just fine.The only thing you can do is try really. I would also try putting them in their own channels as well. Always make sure you run memtest86 though to make sure the ram is cooperating with eachother.

    I agree. it should work fine as long as the speed and timings are the same. I have a set of G.Skill modules running along side a pair of OCZ modules and they seem very happy together.

     It should just fine. Are they dual channel, if so alternate them like Crucial in slot 1 then Corsair in slot 2, Crucial in slot 3 and Corsair in slot 4.
