A Core By Any Other Name

I am somewhat new to Intel processors but I keep up with the tech news so I'm not totally in the dark. The question I have is what is the name of the core used in the Core 2 Duo E4000 series CPUs?

I have been looking around on many different sites and some call the e4000 series a Conroe core and other call them Allendale cores. I went to Intel's website and it says they are Allendale cores so I guess I will take the company who makes them word on what the name of the core is.

I know this sounds, and is kinda nit picking, but why do websites even bother putting the name of the core on what they sell if they can't get it right or all can't agree what it is. To the nontech person several different places useing different names for the same product can be confuseing.

All errors in spelling and grammar are entirely by design in order to enrage those who have nothing left to add to the discussion and therefore seek superiority through personal attacks.

E4000 is Allendale, E6000 is Conroe, E8000 is Wolfdale.  Anyone saying is E4000 is Conroe is mistaken.

    Hello
