I'd be willing to give you a a spare 17-inch CRT for free, it can't do the highest reolutions, but it works.  However, the shipping costs alone would make it cost too much to make it worth it.  Unless you happen live in the Pittsburgh area and can pick it up locally.

From what people say, built in monitor speakers are pretty low quality.  But I don't know enough about Monitors in general to recommend anything.  I'm sure someone else will kindly point out something good for ya.

Btw, I responded to your PM.  Just noticed it.

Try posting a link to the monitor itself, because you have to log in to view your wish list.

As far as built in speakers go, I would say it depends on what your sound quality standards are. In my opinion there are no monitors, or TVs for that matter (with the exception of the Beovision line of TVs by Bang & Olufsen), with built in speakers that are good enough to dismiss the need for stand-alone speakers.

I have never met built-into-the-monitor speakers that I liked.

Your better off with $20 external speakers than built-in. Dell sells a pretty good attachment speaker to their 19 wide screens. Those have come down in price.I just bought an ultrasharp 19" wide for $ 204 and it's nice!
