Re: My New Rig. Summer Project

i'd say go for a quad core over a 8400 since you won't be building til the summer... penryns are THEORETICALLY going to be reasonably prices for the lower end models (which you can clock up to 3.6GHZ or so with no probs)...

that is a nice build though... hope it all works out!

I,ll give that some thought. The E8400 wolfdale is a great Ocer but I can get better results for a price I can afford then I,ll be watching. Im on disability so my funds are hard to come by, but I certainly give it some thought.Always appreciate some input. So far I thing it will be a Great Rig! Gaming and otherwise.

Re: My New Rig. Summer Project

Ok things are slow on my project but got to start somewhere right! So I,ll start with  my case and power supply. The case is a Coolermaster 690 which was used in one of HH giveaways if I recall and myself I think its a great case good options and plenty of room! Besides over a perioud of time the factory looks will change because I,ll have to make it my own so that means some where along the line it will get gutted and  I,ll try to keep it classy and and functional. The PS is a  Coolermaster Real Power Pro 850W (RS-850-EMBA). This is a Big PS with plenty of cables plenty of length and options for upgrades and a big 135mm fan! Thats where my 1st mod comes in mounting the PS in the case no problem but the length of the PS overshhots the cooling vent in the case so its offset approx  half to threequarters over the vent. So the first thing to do is expand the vent opening enough to accomidate it so this big boy doesnt over heat! And then the 2nd mod hiding these ample cables! Thats going to be fun I will be cutting slots in the MB backplate to send the cables out the back to the other side and mount them to the rear of the MB tray.I dont have a camera at this moment to show you what a job thats gng to be but a friend is going to let me borrows his then I,ll post pictures to show you how thats gng to work out ! So all I got now is just picture from Coolermaster of the case and ps!

    Links:

    http://www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?language=en&act=detail&tbcate=22&id=35

I,ll have some pictures soon on the actual  Case, PS and work!Zip it!
