Hey Guys,

I was planning to upgrade to a Pentium D 900s as they are very cheap now. I was looking at Pentium D 900 Series and was wondering whats the difference between 945 and 950, the price difference is huge, its $45. The only difference I found in newegg's side by side comparison is that 950 has virtualization support - which I guess is good for running multiple OSs simultaneously - correct ?
Other difference was the voltage.
945 -> 1.225V-1.312V
950 -> 1.25-1.4V
It seems 945 runs a lower voltage... isnt that a good thing considering that they have the same clock speed and Cache and other stuff?

i guess id go for the 945, but why dont you just go with a E6300? im assuming that you'll need to upgrade mobos any way correct?

My current mobo shud support 945 n 950, thats what its specification on Intel's website says...

I dont want to upgrade my mobo right now coz the 1 i want for core 2 duo costs around 250...

hey coudl somone help me out i wann no which is better intel chipset grpahic of 945gm or 950 and wats the difference can someone tell me it the toshiba a100-784 or the hp nx 7300 have beter graphics to spuuort vista.
