1. Valhalla sounds like the code name for another chip already scheduled to be made. I'm not sure if it was Intel or AMD (or possibly some other company), but it rings a bell.
2. The author made a comment about Grunts moving faster. I heard (from a Maximum PC article way back) that there's a reason that MS didn't slap in a Pentium 4 in the original Xbox. The argument was that it would in fact make Grunts move too fast; in-game action would apparently move so quickly that games would be unplayable. And think about it: if Grunts moved faster, Elites would be like Olympic runners on Red Bull :-p
This 65nm die shrink is taking waaaay too long. The 360 is a hot beast that apparently overheats and causes a lot of problems. This should have been worked on a long time ago. Although I'll admit personally I have not had a problem. My biggest problem with the 360 is that the DVD drive spinning at 12x contantly is annoying, as is the disc caching noise.
