Toshiba Introduces Sleek And Slim Satellite T100 Series

Toshiba unveiled the Toshiba Satellite T100 Series, a new class of ultra-thin laptops that offer all-day battery life and an affordable starting price of $449.99. Designed to feature the comfort and convenience of a standard laptop in an ultra-thin package, the new Satellite T100 Series measures less than one inch thick and weighs as little as 3.5 pounds.  The laptops also offer full-sized keyboards and full-sized Touch Pads with Multi-touch Control.

The Satellite T100 Series will include two models with different screen sizes and various color options. The Satellite T135 features a 13.3-inch diagonal widescreen display and will be available with Toshiba’s Fusion Finish in Nova Red, Nova Black, and Nova White. The Satellite T115 offers an 11.6-inch diagonal widescreen display and will be available in Nova Red and Nova Black.



These laptops are equipped with Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel ultra-low voltage processors, spacious hard drives, DDR3 memory, and numerous expansion ports, including HDMI-out. Wireless N technology and Bluetooth are available on select models. Toshiba also notes that the new Satellite T100 Series laptops have extremely fast resume from standby times and power-saving enhancements that can deliver up to 9 hours of battery life.

Other noteworthy features include a Hard Drive Impact Sensor that helps protect your data from the daily bumps of mobile life and a USB port with Sleep-and-Charge technology to enable you to charge your electronics even when the laptop is turned off. You can use the built-in Webcam with Face Recognition for hassle-free login as well as live chat.

The new laptops are designed to be environmentally conscious and feature a power-efficient, mercury-free LED backlit display. They are also RoHS compatible and meet the requirements of the EnergyStar 5.0 standard. The Satellite T135 and Satellite T115 have achieved Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Gold status.

The Toshiba Satellite T135 starts at a suggested retail price of $599.99 while the Satellite T115 starts at $449.99 MSRP. Both models will be available on October 22 at major retailers, e-tailers, and from Toshiba on toshibadirect.com.
