Tech Industry Job Study Shows Google and Yahoo Engineers Make Top Salaries

There are plenty of perks to working at Google, such as financial support to the spouse of deceased workers, discounted legal services, travel insurance, game tables (like foosball) found in several buildings on Google's campus, and the list goes on. At the end of the day, it's still all about the almighty dollar, which just happens to be another point in Google's favor.

Glassdoor has been analyzing salaries that software engineers make at some of the top tech firms, and none pay better than Google for Senior Software Engineers. The numbers change by the day, but as it currently stands, the average salary for a Senior Software Engineer at Google is a handsome $142,042 per year. Not too shabby, especially when you factor in all the benefits that come from working at Google.
