Sure You're Not Addicted: Smartphone Usage By The Numbers

The cell phone has almost become an extension of the human body as of late. Whether it's texting, tweeting, Facebooking, web-surfing, picture-taking, it has become more and more evident that Americans use their phone to do just about anything and everything. Ubiquitous would be a word that comes to mind but that doesn't quite capture the situation completely.  Remember a day not long ago when bringing a cellphone into a restaurant was considered rude?  Now, if you took a poll at literally any public establishment, all hands would go up if folks were asked "who has a cellphone on them?" As 2010 is coming to a close, the folks at Online MBA have calculated and visualized the drastically accumulating numbers, that only continue to grow.

So True !!

Question though, in the part :

Dollars Spent On Mobile Devices

In 2010 Americans Spent $42.8 Million

Isn't that figure extremely Low?? Or I'm not understanding something!!

Yeah and many of this figures especially the pie chart I am pretty sure are already different from when this was initially made. Rim specifically has lost a substantial amount of subscribers from what I have been hearing, and Android has been gaining for a couple months as well as WIn 7 Phones being released in the last month. This market moves so fast I don't even think anyone can really keep accurate tabs on it. Of course the texting and type of usage I believe.

I'd be apart of that pie chart if my phone wasn't garbage lol

watching all the tweens and teens walking around texting with their heads down at the mall is a trip. I get a big laugh out of it
