Samsung Reveals Galaxy Premiere: 4.65" Android 4.1 Smartphone

Few remember that Samsung even bothered to put out a Galaxy S III Mini earlier in the year, but this particular handset sure encroaches on that same, familiar territory. It's the new Galaxy Premiere, a 4.65" HD Super AMOLED device with an 8MP camera, and design chops that sure look a lot like the existing Galaxy S III. It's the latest in what's becoming a long line of Galaxy products, boasting a 1280x720 display, a 1.5GHz dual-core OMAP 4470 processor, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and 1GB of RAM. There's also a 1.9MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and an NFC module. The only catch here is that this seems to be marketed to overseas markets, so it's unclear if it'll make landfall in America. Perhaps this is just another way to spread the Galaxy love elsewhere, but perhaps it's destined to live as a mid-range option in the not-too-distant future across a number of carriers. Guess time will tell, huh?
