Samsung Galaxy Tab: On Sale Nov. 11 At Verizon For $599.99

We hate to say we told you so…but we told you so! Just as we had been informed, Verizon Wireless' version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be going on sale November 11 in the U.S. This 7" device is easily the most highly anticipated Android-based tablet to come to America, but it has a tough road ahead when battling the iPad and tons of other Windows 7 slates that are making their way out to market each day.

The device will ship with a 1GHz processor and Android 2.2, and when it was first revealed earlier in the year, Samsung stated that they would leave the pricing decisions up to the carriers. Now, Verizon Wireless has priced their version of the Galaxy Tab at $599.99, and it will be one of the few major devices that Verizon sells without a 2-year contract requirement.

Users will find Verison's V CAST Music and V CAST Apps loaded on, and if they wish, they can purchase a data plan starting at $20 per month for 1GB.
