Samsung Debuts N110 And N120 Netbooks
Chi Youngcho, head of the recently created digital media and communications unit at Samsung Electronics, told us in January to expect a few new netbooks, and clearly, he's a man of his word. Today, the company has come forward with not one, but two new "mini notebooks," the N110 and N120.
Checking in at 10.27'' (W) x 1.19'' (H) x 7.3'' (D) and weighing just 2.78 pounds, the N110 definitely won't bog you down whilst traveling. The N120 is a bit larger and heftier at 10.71'' (W) x 1.71'' (H) x 7.4'' (D) and 2.8 pounds, but you'll get a 3-watt speaker system with subwoofer, a six-cell (5200mAh) Lithium ion battery for up to 6 hours of use and a 97% full-size keyboard in compensation. Each machine gets powered by a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, Windows XP Home (SP3), 1GB of DDR2 RAM, Ethernet, WiFi, headphone out, 160GB hard drive (5400RPM) and a 10.1" WXVGA (1024x600) display.
Both machines are available now for just over $450.
