Powercolor Adds Liquid Cooling to the HD4890

TUL Corporation, a leading manufacturer of AMD graphics cards, has announced a new custom liquid cooled solution for the HD4890 series. The PowerColor Liquid Cooling Solution or LCS, will be available on the most powerful single GPU graphics card currently available from ATI. With EK Water Blocks cooling solution, PowerColor’s LCS HD4890 provides exceptional thermal performance in a single slot design, enhancing gaming performance in a cool and stable operating environment.

PowerColor’s LCS HD4890 has a full water block mounted on the card covering the GPU, memory and power regulator chip. With a copper based design, it is able to reduce temperatures up to 20°C compared with reference versions. Furthermore, the PowerColor package includes high-flow 3/8" and 1/2" fittings (barbs) to maximize water flow with captured o-rings to prevent leakage. Gamers can easily build their own liquid cooling system using these two fittings.

“PowerColor created the LCS line to meet the needs of the most extreme gamers. The most demanding gamers need a cooling solution that can keep up with their demands,” said Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. “We know not all enthusiast gamers are created the same. That’s why our LCS line is the most flexible VGA liquid cooling solution on the market.”

The PowerColor LCS HD4890 allows gamers to maximize core and memory speeds to 900MHz and 1000MHz (4.0Gbps), enhancing the overclocking ability with optimum stability and delivering ultimate gaming performance.

The PowerColor LCS HD4890 will retail at $339 (USD), and be available on April 16th.
